Use an app inside a chat

Ask the assistant or an agent to look something up or get something done in Notion, Attio, Higgsfield or another connected app, or connect one right from the chat.

Updated Oct 27, 2026

The assistant and your agents can use the shared apps your company has connected, like Notion, HubSpot, Canva, Attio, Affinity, Linear, Gamma, Higgsfield, Granola, Postiz, Carta, Stripe and PostHog.

Ask about an app

  1. Open the assistant with Ask AI while your company is the workspace, or open one of your agents' chats.
  2. Ask in plain words, for example "Which Linear issues are still open?" or "Make a logo for our community in Higgsfield and use it".

The assistant does what you ask in the app. Before anything that sends to other people, posts in public, deletes, or spends that app's credits (like a Higgsfield image), it tells you what it will do and waits for your yes. Once an app has answered, it makes no more changes in apps in that same reply, so a second change waits for your next message.

An agent changes things in an app within what it may do on its own (see Choose what an agent may do on its own).

Connect an app from the chat

When your question needs an app your company has not connected, a card for that app shows up in the chat. In an agent's chat, the card shows only for an agent that works on a company.

  1. Choose the connect button on the card (for example "Connect Attio").
  2. Sign in to the app in the window that opens. If your browser blocks the window, the sign-in runs in the same tab and brings you back.
  3. The chat shows a line like "Attio connected by you, just now", then answers your question.

Choose Not now to skip it. You can connect it any time from Apps.

Only owners and admins of the company can connect apps. Anyone else sees who to ask instead, and demo accounts cannot connect apps.

Choose which apps an agent uses

  1. Open the agent and, in the panel beside its chat, open Apps.
  2. The first list shows what the agent uses: StartupCorners itself (Built in) and each connected app, with a switch. Turn a switch off to keep this agent away from that app.
  3. Posts to lists the Slack, Discord and Telegram you connected, with the channel picked for agents. Turn a switch on to let this agent post there. When no channel is picked yet, Pick opens that app's panel to choose one.
  4. The last list shows apps your company can still connect, each with Connect for owners and admins.

An agent that works for just you, a community or a program uses no shared apps: they connect to companies. It can still post in your own Slack, Discord or Telegram channel under Posts to. A community's agent also lists a channel an admin of that community shared with it, with "shared by" and that admin's name. See Connect Slack.
